One of Regency Global’s brand partners is Black Umbrellas: an enterprise development incubation organisation with remarkable success stories

Creating more job opportunities for the local community

GMSQ and MA Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a holding company for GreenDot Supplies, MS, Quality R Trading Enterprise, Magma Core Projects and Avhasei Consulting Engineers owned by formidable serial entrepreneurs Sarina Malatji and David Masikhwa.

The duo joined forces in 2011, after having worked together in more recent times at Eskom SOC Ltd. Inspired by the diversity, scale and reach of giants like Bidvest Group, the group services clients in facilities management, construction, retail and consulting industries.

The new kids on the block started off 2018 with a bang having been awarded an as-and-when contract to supply consumable goods to Exxaro- Grootegeluk Coal Mine for a period of 5 years in May 2018. On the 1st of June 2018, the group was also awarded a new cleaning contract by Eskom for a period of 3 years to clean the Thohoyandou, Tzaneen, Groblerdal, Polokwane (Cluster A) zones to the value of R19.5 million. 88 new jobs were created as a result of this contract bringing their total number of employees to 500 which has also necessitated the launching of a second office in Polokwane in the near future.

When speaking about the future growth prospects for the company, Sarina explains “As we celebrate this great milestone of providing employment opportunities to 500 people, I am confident that we are on the right track to reach our target to double this number by 2020.”

Black Umbrellas’ Lephalale incubator is proud of having GMSQ and MA Holdings as a client on the program. The immense employment opportunities that this company has created in the local communities inspires our resolve and give credence to the incredible work that our teams are involved in.
